Dawn Patrol to Kessler East Bowl
Wednesday, December 6th, 2006
Since it hasn't snowed in a week, we figured we'd best choose
a destination protected by difficult bushwacking. Kessler East
Bowl was the perfect choice. (All the good shots in this posting
were taken by Helmüt.)

After some some thick brush and a bit of climbing, we found soft
snow all over the north faces. It never felt so good to be out
of the shrubbery...

humps in the thin snowpack.

Luckily, what there was to enjoy out-numbered what there was to avoid.

Here's Foothill, not too worried about not being at work.

Still not worried.

Hey Baby! Think my scholler pants are big enough for the two of us???

At the bottom of the run
was this tiny section of bushwacking; the final crux of the day.
Perserverance, eye protection, and occasionally covering ones genitals
with ones hands were essential.
