Our second pilgrimage to the white trash mountaineering mecca
of the PNW. We camped two nights on the morraine
of the Cresent Glacier, a perfect spot which allowed us two full
days of excellent skiing, touring, and doing whatever else you'd
want to do on a volcano.
We must have looked miserable carrying our fully loaded packs
because some friends on a day hike
offered to carry our boots. Dropping that weight made a huge
difference, significantly lessening the misery.
Here's Fu wishing he had one of those fancy new backpacks.
Here is Mount Adams from the south climb. We camped in the clump
of trees on the right of the picture, right beneath the cresent
glacier, which seems like more of a snow patch.
"Wooo Hooo" is frequently heard on the mountain.
