Face Shot season opens at Alta.
Saturday and Sunday, November 11th and 12th, 2006
Once again I've been blown away by how amazing something can look
in person, and how uneventful it can look in a picture. Anyone
who saw this halo that appeared in Collins gulch on sunday afternoon
was sure to be stopped dead in their tracks. It was so huge that
to see it in it's entirety you'd have to swing your head around.
It was a double halo, the outer ring being completely outside of
these frames. Amazing experience, but on the computer screen,
it just looks like another small photoshop trick.
