First Day of the Season, Rockboarding at Alta.
Saturday, September 16th, 2006
I'll just start by saying that I missed two money shots today...The
highly textural nature of the fall foliage draped in a layer of
fresh snow made for incredibly beautifuly scenery. The sky, for
the most part, was totally overcast. But fortunately, fast moving
windows of sun would shine randomy on wasatch peaks, as if to put
them and their beauty on blatant display. As I didn't have my usual
pack (that features easy camera access) Though I tried, I couldn't
manage to get my camera out in time to capture these moments. Thus
I broke my #1 rule of outdoor photography : always have the
camera ready.

Foothill followed by three grey space smudges.

Baldy Chute nearing perfection.

Does it count if you're sitting on your snowboard???
