Bear Extravaganza in the Tetons
Labor Day Weekend, September 2006

My lovely porters.

The first sign of bears in the tetons was, well, a sign with bears
on it.

The second sign of bears was luckily not stepped on. (Watch included
to show what time it was).

This is first bear that could have eaten me.

This is him up close, not that I got up close.

Sometimes the dark shapes you see are more than just dark shapes.
They're dark shapes that will beat the living crap out of you
to keep their baby dark shapes free from danger...

Here's the view back towards Park Headquarters from Paintbrush
divide.

Here is the southwest face of Mount Moran. Those must be some entertaining
couloirs in winter me thinks.

This is me with THE three tetons coming out of my left ear. The
pass I wanted to get over (Hurrican Pass) is to the right
edge of the photo.

Here's the view down the north fork and up the south fork of cascade
canyons, and the north side of the Grand.

The view from solitude lake is so amazing that its almost upsetting.

Here's me near Driggs thinking "thank god I'm alive, keep me the
F#&% away from any more Mother and offspring pairings".
