The freak has just returned from his first trip down the Grand Canyon. Unfortunately he didn't bring his boardz for some turns on the volcanic cinder skree by lava falls, (and he ran most of lava falls upside down in his kayak) but freakiness was had by all. Voodoo for snow!!!

Foothill Freak is a website about skiing in the backcountry. It features a ski blog about touring in the Wasatch Mountains, near Salt Lake City, Utah. It also features an in-depth glossary of ski terms and ski slang. Other topics covered are skiing, snowboarding, split-boarding, backcountry tourning, ski mountaineering, skiing with dogs, and the occasional peak bagging.
